Questioning Terrible Events in the World

Many times people wonder about the terrible things happening in our world today, which leads to them to question God’s existence. People make statements like: “if there’s God, he would not allow terrible things happen”. These terrible things can range from mishaps and accidents to natural disasters. To address this, let's consider an analogy: Imagine you've leased a flat from a landlord. The house belongs to the landlord, but as long as you're in the lease, what happens in the house is your responsibility. Similarly, God owns the world and has leased it to humans for a time. Humans are responsible for what happens here.

Human Responsibility and God's Ownership

Genesis 1:27-28 illustrates this: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

The Role of Evil: Satan's Influence

But God had a plan even before time began: Jesus. Jesus is God's ultimate plan to restore humanity's authority and defeat the devil. Through Jesus, humans can regain authority and be free from Satan's influence. Jesus, conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost and born of Mary, is God in human flesh. He defeated the devil and offers salvation to all who believe in Him. By making Jesus their Lord, people can break free from Satan's rulership and have a relationship with God.

God's Plan: The Role of Jesus

It's crucial to recognize that a life without Jesus remains under Satan's influence. An Anyone who chooses to make Jesus their Lord would establish a relationship with God and be liberated from the bondage of Satan and sin. Jesus came to save humans, but individuals must recognise this and enthrone Him in their lives. A life without Jesus, would still be under the influence of Satan’s rulership.

Consequences of Rejecting Jesus

The evidence of Satan’s rulership includes adultery, fornication, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, variance, jealousy, emulations, fits of rage, wrath, strife, selfish ambition, dissensions, seditions, factions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies and the like. Those who engage in or participate in these activities are already condemned. They will be cast into the lake of fire and suffer eternal damnation alongside Satan because they do the works of Satan

Benefits of Accepting Jesus

On the other hand, those that make Jesus their lord will experience the God-kind of life, which includes eternal life. They would live how God lives, enjoying and experiencing love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control.

Activate His Lordship

If you read this and believe that God sent Jesus, you must activate His lordship in your life. You can do this by praying: God, I thank you for sending Jesus. I believe in him today and I make him lord over my life. I also repent of all my wrongdoings and choose to be led by Jesus from today henceforth. Thank for this new start.
